My professional life has always been rooted in the theatre. I design sets for regional and college theaters and, for the past fifteen years, have painted scenery for Broadway shows and the Metropolitan Opera in New York City.

It is this experience and training I now offer to private clients. I can produce murals of the highest quality, in any style, from any historical period.

My fine art has always been a counterbalance to my theater career. While theater is essentially a collaborative effort, studio art is a solitary search for a personal vocabulary of image and media. I paint for my own enjoyment and rarely exhibit, but I do accept portrait commissions. All my portraits, whether on canvas, glass, or paper, combine fine draughtsmanship with a bold use of color. I work from photographs and prefer to take my own, but I can also use old favorites from family albums.
